REMEMBERING EPHRAIM

Michael & Ephraim

It is with much sadness that we inform you of the passing of our MH Uganda Chairman, Reverend Canon Ephraim Gensi. Ephraim was with Maranatha Health from its inception and was been instrumental in shaping the work here in Uganda. Ephraim and his family have provided a home for us in Uganda and we have seen Ephraim as a second father.

Ephraim was a man who loved life, who was always joyful and put a smile on the faces of others in the room. He also had a great ability to manage people and get the best from them, and served for a period as the East African Director for Compassion International. Ephraim was well travelled, he loved good food and was always available for an impromptu session of dancing. He and his wife Margaret operate one of the most open homes we have ever come across – their hospitality seemingly has no bounds.

Ephraim was a man of great faith, who had a strong desire to serve the people of his country. He fought for positive change through many different organisations and he was always quick to pray for and assist those in need. His cheeky smile, laughter and wise words of advice will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

We offer our sincere condolences to Margaret, his children and grandchildren.
