It all started with a conversation between Michael Findlay and Richard Sykes at SCF Containers. With much discussion, hard work, ingenuity and patience, the Operating Theatre in a Shipping Container was created. And now, many years and delays later, the container is finally on the water, en route to Uganda.
There are some deeply heartfelt thanks to be given: to Richard Sykes and his staff at SCF, Prash Sanders, Bruce Lobb, Matt Rasheed, and a large number of individuals and companies who donated equipment, expertise and time to see this project to completion. Your generous contributions to this project have been enormous, and we are truly grateful. We can’t wait to get the theatre in place in Fort Portal and finally put it to work.
