Maranatha Health could not continue to serve the Kabarole community without people’s generosity and support. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Ugandan Project Costs
This list will give you an idea of how your donation(s) might be used and just how much difference can be achieved for relatively small sums.*
*Please note that this list is merely to give you an idea of how your contribution could be used. These are approximate costs only that are subject to inflation, changes in resource prices and other variables. MH reserves the right to use donated funds for the areas of highest priority, and in no way guarantees that your money will be used for one of these items. Furthermore, tax-deductible donations cannot be tied to a specific outcome/item of expenditure. If you have any questions regarding this, please feel free to email us contact@maranathahealth.org.
Australian Costs
People often wonder about a charity's administration expenses, and with good reason. At Maranatha Health one of our values is 'Integrity and Trustworthiness', and because of this we want our financial activity to be as transparent as possible. As you can see above, almost three quarters of Maranatha Health's income goes directly to our projects in Uganda, and one quarter funds our work in Australia - everything from insurance fees to staff wages to thank you gifts for volunteers (the other 7.5% goes to GDG for their role in oversight and compliance with Australian government requirements). Maranatha Health has two parts: one in Uganda and one in Australia. Neither would exist without the other - without the Australian work there would be no money, resources or personnel to enable the work in Uganda to occur; without the Ugandan work there would be no reason to raise support, develop policies, recruit and train volunteers, etc. While we acknowledge that people often want their dollars to directly 'help' on the ground in Uganda, the reality is that whether the money ends up being spend in Australia or Uganda, it is all vital in enabling Maranatha Health to achieve its vision of creating healthy, empowered, and vibrant communities in Uganda.
