OPERATING THEATRE

Our operating theatre has a unique and unusual history: it began life as a shipping container!

It all started with a conversation between Michael Findlay and Richard Sykes at SCF Containers. With much discussion, hard work, ingenuity and patience, the Operating Theatre in a Shipping Container was created. It took many years, many delays, significant financial generosity from a few people, and a lot of frustration and uncertainty, but the theatre is fully operational and hard at work changing lives.

Maranatha Health values partnerships and working to build local capacity. We are thrilled to have Ugandan surgeons conducting regular pediatric surgeries and providing further training for our staff. We hope to expand our services and the regularity of available surgeries over the coming year.
